Bone Cancer Treatment with Photodynamic Therapy

>Prof Tim Briggs at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore is starting a trial for the treatment of bone cancer and sarcomas with PDT. We think this is tremendously exciting news. He is also leading the team developing the use of PDT when patients have joint replacements. The idea of the PDT is to kill off any infection that might have been attracted to the open wound in the surgical process.

This is a hugely significant development for PDT.
